well its not mine, but it is still something and its by some one i love by the name of Edger Allen Poe

Alone

From childhood's hour I have not been
As other's were; I have not seen
As other's saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then ---in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life--- was drawn

I fell in love with this poem when i first read it... i dont knwow why. maybe cause i like war stuff too, but... i don't know. it's taken from a"Echoes Across the Bay" a program with my school districts art stuff.


Boys of the 308th

Days go by; we send out birds and wait for our comrades to come.
Sun goes up and sets again, but still we shoot our guns.
It won't be long the fight will end; like kings we will dine.
Yet as my enemy comes close; his face looks just like mine.
History forgets the names of the soldiers with a gun,
But remembers the bravery in the battles that they won.
To whom does the credit go when it comes to peace time?
To the pencil-pushing generals, not the soldiers on the line.
So, if these trees could talk, rest assured they'd have a story to tell
Of the boys of the 308th and how they went through hell.

psh.. i would never in my life buy pants for 56 bucks. that, in my world, is crazy. i could buy a ticket to lifest and see Flatfoot56, Blindside, Audio-A, Newsboys, Skillet, and so on. that sucks butt kid!!
